Photo of north transept containing 4 tombs
Two wooden effigies of cross-legged knights in armour are of late 13th or early 14th century members of the Mauleverer family. These effigies are of exceptional interest and have been carefully restored with expert advice from the Victoria and Albert Museum. The small brass figures set in a flat slab are of Sir John Mauleverer (died 1400) and his wife Eleanor. The two alabaster effigies of a knight and his lady commemorate Sir John and Alyson Mauleverer (1475).
