Allerton Castle is open to visitors for guided tours of the main floor rooms on Wednesday afternoons and Bank Holiday Monday afternoons from Easter Monday through to the end of October 2015. Each tour take approximately 90 minutes.

Doors open at 12.15pm. Guided tours at 12.30pm; 1.30pm; 2.30pm and 3.30pm. No need to book.

Admission Charges:

Light refreshments are available in the ballroom.
Wheelchair access is available, please telephone to arrange or speak to a volunteer on arrival.
NO DOGS are allowed within the grounds (other than guide dogs).

Wartime Service

During World War II it was HQ No. 6 (Royal Canadian Air Force) Group and was immortalised as "Castle Dismal" by No. 6 Group's public relations officer.
